An Application
EX 2:24-25 "remember" in a human context might imply forgetting, but not always. God does not forget, and that is what this said. God is outside of time (He invented it) so the concept of forgetting (or changing) as we understand it simply doesn't apply. This also makes Him more patient than us (ISA 55:8) and timing to Him is different (as the apostle Peter will point out in 2PE 3:8.) Remember Joe was in jail many years before Pharaoh called him. God will remember us, we need to wait for Him.
Connect the Dots
The irony of the criticism in the first part of EX 2:14 is pretty thick. / It's tempting to think Moses was some great miltary general because he'd grown up with the Pharaoh's family. Various hollywood movies depict him this way. But EX 4:10 and 6:12 contradict this fantasy. / Why did God allow them to be enslaved? Because He'd use their release from slavery as a defining characteristic of their nation for all time, He says the phrase "out of Egypt" just over a hundred times in the Bible.
